Day 1 - After the Trial

[Ema does her best to catch Robin after the trial and to draw her aside to somewhere private. Once she has, she says:]

Scientifically speaking, this is probably a really terrible idea, but I just spent that entire trial painting a metaphorical Eject Me sign on my head... so I really need to know: can I trust you? Can you look me in the eye and tell me you aren't a spy?

[Robin didn't expect those results. Of course, she should have. There wasn't enough evidence, and it was likely that even Ema wouldn't figure out anything.

So, she expected Ema pulling her away a little.]

Yeah! I probably painted a big sign on myself too! Can you believe that we were the only three that voted?!

[Robin's hands clenched and unclenched, her brace straining.]

You can trust me. I don't have anything special, man! I'm just a villager!

I wasn't so surprised once we found out that abstainers could win, actually, but that's not what I'm here to tell you.

[Ema takes a deep breath. She really hopes this is the right choice.]

I'm not. I really am one of the Detectives. I checked out Hibiki, Tsuruya, and Iori... and I got a spy result from that group. At least one of them is a spy. Maybe all of them are. That's why I went after Hibiki specifically.

... although looking back, scientifically speaking, the most likely spy among them is Tsuruya, so you might want to remember that for the future.

[fullonbraced]

...whooooa! [There was real excitement in Robin's voice now. She wasn't as tired as she was before.] You mean it?! You're one of them?! Awesome!

[she checks around them, seeing if there's anyone else. Hopefully not.]

Yeah, she was the only other person that voted, man! Maybe she slipped up!

[skyentist]

Yeah! We really are a prosecutor-detective team, just like Edgeworth and Gumshoe. Only I'm smarter than Gumshoe and you aren't as amazing as Edgeworth. But nobody is, really.

Anyway, they might pick me tonight, so I wanted to tell someone my results first and you seemed like the best choice?

[It's literally because you're from home, Robin.]

[fullonbraced]

[That's a pretty good choice. Maybe.]

I'm not gonna let you down, man! We're gonna get those spies and take 'em all down!!

[She fumbled a little, her hand gripping her left arm.]

They might go after me too... So! You have to get them if that happens!

[skyentist]

I will! I promise I will! And I'll update you everyday about my findings as long as we're both here!

[fullonbraced]

[Robin might be in tears right now.]

[Ema is going to gingerly pat Robin's back. Oh no, how to deal with tears.]
